Tacoma's Minimum Wage Task Force needs to hear from you!
In less than a week, they're going to announce their proposal for a new minimum wage in Tacoma. Let's make sure they hear from working people, and make sure that they hear that Tacoma needs a raise to $15.
David Chase works at a McDonald's in Tacoma. He told members of the Tacoma City Council why the city needs to step up and raise the minimum wage.
"I'm here to support the $15 an hour proposal. I want to start by saying that I've been working in fast food for roughly over 10 years - ever since I've been out of high school. I've basically been couch surfing from place to place, trying to go back to school.

Ali Page, another Tacoma McDonald's worker, also shared why Tacoma needs $15.
Ali Page, Tacoma McDonald's worker. "There definitely should be a raise in the minimum wage to $15. Because there'd be a lot more money made, and you wouldn't have to worry about paying your bills and then only paying your bills."
