You've probably been hearing a lot about the gig economy lately. Politicians, corporations, and the media have a lot to say about the future of work and the new model of hiring independent contractors for gig jobs.
But we rarely hear from the people who are actually doing the work.
That changes Wednesday, at Working Washington's Gig Workers Speak-Out.
Workers from apps like Doordash, Instacart, Uber, Lyft, and more will be sharing the good, the bad, and the ugly about their work and their lives at the leading edge of our changing economy.
You can be part of the conversation too. We'll be streaming the Speak-Out online, so you can watch from wherever you are, or you can join us in person at our office in downtown Seattle.
