Where do they find these people? We found out.

It must be hard trying to find someone to be the face of a campaign to block a raise for 730,000 workers and paid sick days for 1 million workers. So it makes sense that the official campaign against Initiative 1433 to raise the minimum wage found the face of their campaign... on a stock photo web site. The name of the photo: "Two friends collecting money to pay in a restaurant."

A familiar face

And here's where they got — for $33 from the "signature collection" of iStockphoto

If the face looks familiar, you may perhaps have seen it on articles like “4 types of people you should never lend money to” and about a million others.

But the best part is the name of the photo: "Two friends collecting money to pay in a restaurant.”

Hot tip: they might be able to more easily afford the bill if they got a raise.
